The living legend and Master (Ostad) of Persian Music, Mohammad Reza Shajarian is returning to the Roy Thomson Hall stage after almost two years. The singer and humanitarian will be accompanied by Shahnaz Ensemble, directed by one of Iran's most dynamic composers and instrumentalists, Maestro Magid Derakhshani (tar player).
Shajarian, matched with an ensemble composed of 15 instrumentalists, playing the Tar, Santour, Setaar, Oud, Ney, Tonbak, Kamancheh, Daf, Gheychak, Robab and Tondar brings what promises to be an extraordinary evening of traditional and classical Persian music to Toronto.
